If, on February 1, 2005, the Speaker of the House of the United States of America and the Senate Majority Leader of the Senate of the United States of America are both registered Republicans, this claim will be judged true. Normally, this would mean that the elections held in Novemeber 2004 had yielded majority Republican caucuses in both houses, but this will be judged true even if no election is held. The Senate and House are defined as the bodies that are the NATO and EU recognized legislative bodies of the US. The positions in question are the same positions that Dennis Hastert and Bill Frist now hold (05/20/2003). Judgment should be based on the reasonable man test.
Note: This claim will be false if either of the positions are not held by registered Republicans.
In cases of ambiguity I will judge the claim by its wording, not its intent.
I intend to use information linked to from http://www.house.gov and http://www.senate.gov unless the reliability of these sources is questioned.
This claim will not, under any circumstances, be judged before its due date.
