Fermat's Last Theorem will be settled. FLT is considered settled if it is proven, or disproven, or proven to be unsolvable, and the result is accepted by the mathematics establishment, within the time limit. The proof must have been available for public inspection for at least one year. Corrections for any major errors or omissions must have been publicly available for at least six months. These time periods are reduced to one week for an independently checked numeric counterexample. The judge may choose to shorten the time periods for a proof that is mechanically checked by a program of good reputation. [The judge is not required to evaluate the proof, but to evaluate the opinion of the mathematics community.]
