This scaled claim will be judged according to the average score of player 14, currently named Markybot, as reported by the FX server, at five randomly chosen times during January 1999. The judge is responsible for randomly sampling the scores, and keeping the results secret until the due date of 4 February, 1999.
This claim is based on an earlier claim, Mark98. After one year of trading, Markybot had a score of approximately 1.129, although it occasionally scored much higher. If its score continues to increase at the same rate, it should have a score of 1.274 by 1999/02/04.
If the average score is 1.100 or less, the YES payoff is $0. If the score is 1.500 or more, the YES payoff is $1. Otherwise, the YES payoff is 2.5 * (score - 1.100), rounded to the nearest cent (1.100 -> 00; 1.200 -> 25; 1.300 -> 50; 1.400 -> 75; 1.500 -> 100). See http://www.cs.unm.edu/~patrik/mark99.html for background information and a payoff table. Check this page out, it has some important stuff.
