FAQ: There are two main systems for measuring magnitude, Richter magnitude and moment magnitude. Moment magnitude is more widely used these days, however this claim specifically concerns Richter magnitude! I will attempt to get a Richter magnitude for any candidate earthquake, or to convert from moment to Richter.
