The recent customs union agreement between Turkey and European Union (EU) arose the possibility of Turkey's membership in EU in the near future.
This claim will be judged TRUE if, by Jan. 1, 2001, Turkey becomes a full member of EU. This membership will be recognized only when the necessary agreements are signed by the required parties by the indicated date. If, for some reason, EU does not exist on Jan. 1, 2001, the claim will be judged FALSE.
