IBM's OS/2 will be officially abandoned as an idependent operating system by the end of the 3rd Quarter, 1996. YES coupons will pay $1 if, by the end of the 3rd Quarter, 1996, IBM has announced any of the following: 1. That they will not be releasing any new versions of the OS after the current version available at that time, or 2. New development work has stopped on the OS, irrespective of whether or not they continue to provide support for it. No coupons will pay $1 if, by the end of the 3rd Quarter, 1996, IBM is still committed to the ongoing development and support of the OS.
